If you're traveling with your dog please remember to leave the place you're renting (campsite, hotel room, air bnb, etc) as nice or nicer than you found it.
Not only is how you leave your rental a reflection on you as a guest, but it also becomes a generalization of dogs to those that are renting to you. One bad apple can cause a renter to have negative associations about travelers with dogs causing them to increase the pet fee or not allow dogs at all.
So what can you do to help keep a rental as clean as possible when traveling with your dog?

If your dog jumps on the furniture, bring sheets/blankets to put on furniture so their hair and potential dirty paws don't come into direct contact with the furniture

Secure your dog in a crate if you leave the rental without your dog so they don't potentially damage anything and/or housekeeping doesn't accidentally let them outside

Wipe off your dog's paws if they are wet/dirty as soon as you come inside, before removing their leash

Pick up your dog's poop and dispose of it in available garbage bins

As a general rule of thumb, aim to leave the place cleaner than you found it
